Cozy Travels was born out of a genuine passion for travel and discovery. In 2019, our founder, Aswirah Nabuuma, took her first intentional leisure trip to Jinja, home to the famous Source of the Nile. While she had previously visited Jinja on school trips, this experience was different. A boat ride to the exact point where the River Nile flows out of Lake Victoria revealed a side of Uganda she had never truly experienced before. That moment sparked a deep appreciation for travel, exploration, and the beauty that exists within our own backyard.
Over the next few years, Aswirah visited many of Uganda's major attractions and tourism destinations, documenting and sharing her experiences on her YouTube channel, Nabz Arah. Through these travel stories, she inspired others to explore Uganda and see it through fresh eyes.
In 2022, a Ugandan living in Europe who had been following her travel content reached out and asked for help planning a family vacation in Uganda. That request became the first-ever trip organized by Cozy Travels. What began as helping one family create memorable experiences soon grew into a vision of helping many more people travel with ease, comfort, and confidence.
In 2024, Cozy Travels was officially registered and established as a travel company dedicated to creating personalized and memorable travel experiences. The name Cozy Travels reflects the experience we strive to create for every traveler—a journey that is relaxing, heartwarming, comfortable, and carefully tailored to their needs.
